£25,305 – £28,195 per annum (No teaching qualification held) £29,018 – £44,227 per annum (Teaching qualification held – Level 5 or above)

About the Department
The FE Animal Management department is a collaborative and supportive team of lecturers, tutors, and Animal Instructors. Together, they provide students with the knowledge, practical skills, and understanding required to succeed in the animal industry.
With an animal collection spanning over 70 species, students gain hands-on experience as they prepare for careers beyond their educational programme.
About the Role
You will deliver exceptional teaching for students on Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3 BTEC and T-Level animal management courses, ensuring their success and development. Key responsibilities include:
- Planning and delivering engaging Animal Biology, Animal Anatomy and Physiology, Animal Training, and Animal Practical units
- Inspiring and nurturing a passion for Animal Management in students
- Providing personal tutorship, offering guidance on progress, academic success, and career aspirations through group sessions and one-to-one tutorials
- Designing, marking, and monitoring assessments, tracking learner progress
- Maintaining strong industry links to enhance curriculum relevance

About You
We are looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:
- Holding (or willingness to obtain) a teaching qualification (e.g., Level 5 or higher)
- Degree in Animal Science/Management, Biological Sciences, or a related discipline
- In-depth knowledge of a wide variety of animals
- Demonstrated ability to support student development, particularly in tutorial settings (a plus)
- Preferred: Holders of the A1 Assessor’s Award and V1 Internal Verifier Award (or equivalent)
