FE/College Lecturers

FE / College Lecturers Needed Across South Wales – September 2026

Salary: £28–£45 per hour (dependent on qualifications and experience)

Aspire People is partnering with colleges across South Wales to recruit knowledgeable and dedicated lecturers across a wide range of subject areas. Join us in supporting learners as they progress into further education, apprenticeships, or employment.


The Role

Working in FE colleges and post-16 settings, you will be responsible for:

  • Delivering engaging, high-quality teaching and learning in your specialist subject area
  • Planning and delivering inclusive lessons that meet curriculum requirements
  • Assessing student progress and providing clear, constructive feedback
  • Supporting learners in setting and achieving individual goals
  • Acting as a personal tutor, offering academic and pastoral guidance
  • Working with students who may have behavioural challenges or additional learning needs (ALN)
  • Monitoring attendance, progress, and achievement while maintaining accurate records
  • Promoting positive behaviour and high expectations in the classroom
  • Contributing to learner progression into higher education, apprenticeships, or employment

What We’re Looking For

We seek candidates with:

  • A relevant degree, vocational qualification, or strong industry experience in your specialty
  • A teaching qualification (PGCE/PCET, Cert Ed, DTLLS, or equivalent) – desirable
  • Experience supporting learners, apprentices, or trainees in FE or post-16 environments
  • The ability to engage and motivate diverse learners
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Experience working with learners who have SEN/ALN or behavioural challenges – beneficial
  • Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) – required
