Female Clean Team Member – Stoke Gym | Cleaning | Permanent | Part-Time

£26,686.00 pro rata per annum (depending on experience) 20 hours per week

We’re looking for a motivated Female Clean Team Members to help maintain these standards and ensure our facilities remain pristine, safe, and pleasant for everyone.

About the Role

You’ll be part of the Nuffield Clean Team, working across our gym to:

  • Support customers who rely on our facilities by keeping them clean, safe, and inviting
  • Work alongside experienced Team Leaders to organise your cleaning schedule
  • Adhere to high hygiene and safety standards using up-to-date cleaning equipment (e.g., scrubber dryers, rotary machines, and carpet cleaners)
  • Receive comprehensive training to perform your role effectively

This role is perfect if you have: ✔ A friendly and helpful attitude ✔ Strong communication skills for interacting with colleagues and customers ✔ A proactive, organised approach to prioritising tasks


Responsibilities

As a Female Clean Team Member, you will:

  • Clean and prepare a wide range of areas, including:
    • Club interiors (fitness spaces, reception areas, waiting zones)
    • Changing rooms
    • Showers
    • Poolside facilities
  • Remove waste safely and dispose of it in line with company protocols
  • Carry out periodic deep cleaning to maintain high standards
  • Regularly inspect and report maintenance issues (e.g., leaks, broken fixtures)
  • Use cleaning equipment, tools, and chemicals correctly and safely
  • Ensure your section of the club is clean, welcoming, and safe for all customers

Requirements

  • Experience in a similar cleaning role (not required if you're a natural problem-solver and willing to learn!)
  • Reliability – this role requires 20 hours per week with no-shows being unhelpful
  • Ability to organise your tasks efficiently and adapt to passed times in peak hours
  • Safe working practice – including understanding OSHA/legislated cleaning standards
  • Strong time management skills (working independently with occasional support from supervisors)
  • Willingness to work flexible hours that may include evenings and weekends in busy clubs

Female Cleaner Note: This role specifically requires a female cleaner for maintenance of female-only changing areas. This deferment is permitted under the Equality Act 2010 Part 1 Schedule 9 exemption.
