Job Title: Female - Live-in Carer

Location: Torquay, South West England (Seaside town)

About the Client

We are looking for a compassionate and patient Female Live-in Carer to support a lady living in Torquay.

Our client lives with a complex neurological condition following Long COVID and requires full support with all aspects of daily living. She is bedbound and benefits from a calm, predictable, low-stimulation environment due to the nature of her condition.

She lives at home with the support of her partner, and the purpose of this package is to provide high-quality care while also offering valuable respite for her family.

This role would suit someone who is naturally calm, caring and understands the importance of providing person-centred care at the client's pace.

Role & Responsibilities

As a Live-in Carer, you will provide support with all aspects of daily living while promoting comfort, dignity, and wellbeing.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Personal care
  • Bed bathing and hygiene support
  • Repositioning and pressure area care
  • Continence care
  • Meal preparation and support with eating and drinking
  • Light household duties
  • Monitoring wellbeing and reporting any concerns
  • Emotional reassurance and companionship
  • Working closely with family members and healthcare professionals to provide consistent, person-centred care

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Due to the client's condition, it is essential that carers are able to maintain a calm, quiet, and low-stimulation environment, keeping unnecessary noise, light, and disruption to a minimum.

Working Schedule

We are flexible and open to carers' preferences but ideally looking for candidates who can commit to rotational blocks (minimum 2 weeks), with the possibility of up to 12 weeks continuous work. Our aim is to build a small team of two rotating carers.

  • Daily hours: 13-hour day with a 2-hour break
  • Sleep-in: 9 hours per night, with occasional assistance allowed (max twice, 15 minutes each)
  • Weekly rest time: 14 hours off (can be 2 hours daily or two 7-hour periods)
