Female Personal Assistant

About The Employer

You will be working with a 55-year-old caring lady in a homely environment, alongside a team of experienced PAs (Personal Assistants). The job involves providing personal care, activities, and outings, tailored to her needs.

Disabilities: MS (Multiple Sclerosis) and fibromyalgia.

About The Role

Responsibilities

The responsibilities include:

  • Support/prompting with:
    • Personal care (toileting, showering/bathing, bed/mobility, dressing).
    • Cooking, meal preparation, and eating (measured support from start to finish).
    • Medication administration (only for candidates 18 or older).
  • Household chores/general homemaking.
  • Assisting with appointments (e.g., hospitals, doctors).
  • Food shopping support.
  • Pets care (carer’s role may include looking after their two friendly dogs).
  • Pleading/configuring outings, sport, and leisure activities to match the care’s interests.
  • Social support and stimulation, ensuring engagement in daily activities.
  • Building a trusting and strong one-to-one relationship.
  • Administering paperwork and correspondence.
  • Gardening assistance as needed.

Required Training

Successful candidates will attend any relevant training, including:

  • Moving and Handling (provided by employer).
  • Catheter Care (provided by employer).

Specific Working Hours

  • Fixed shifts:
    • Tuesday: 5 PM to 9 PM
    • Wednesday: 5 PM to 9 PM
    • Friday: 5 PM to 9 PM
  • Every fourth week: Saturday, 9 AM to 2 PM (additional 5 PM to 9:30 PM shift coverage possible on the same day, as required).
