Support Worker – Supported Living Setting
Location: Loughborough Job Type: Full-Time (36 hours per week) Salary: £13.50 per hour Shifts: Days and Waking Nights (includes weekends and bank holidays)

What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll work towards the following core responsibilities:
- Promote and uphold independence, choice, dignity, and respect at all times.
- Support individuals with daily living activities, including:
- Medication management
- Meal preparation and budgeting
- Shopping and household tasks
- Personal care (if required)
- Encourage social inclusion and confidence through community engagement and leisure activities.
- Monitor and enhance physical and mental wellbeing.
- Follow and implement person-centred support plans tailored to each individual’s needs.
- Support individuals in achieving personal goals (e.g., education, employment, hobbies).
- Manage and de-escalate challenging behaviours using training and experience.
- Collaborate with your team to deliver consistent, high-quality support.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date daily records, reports, and incident forms.

Requirements
This role is open to female applicants only, as it involves providing individualised support for a specific requirement under Schedule 9, Part 1 of the Equality Act 2010.
To be considered, you must:
- Be 18 years or over.
- Have the right to work in the UK.
- Speak and understand English to a high standard for:
- Clear communication
- Record-keeping
- Safeguarding responsibilities
- Have at least one year’s experience in a support or care-related role.
- Key attributes required:
- Confidence in working with individuals with complex needs or challenging behaviours.
- Strong communication skills and emotional resilience.
- A passion for making a difference.
- A team-player mentality with a proactive, person-centred approach.
