Female Support Worker

Female Bank Support Worker – Kensington Gardens, Darlington

We are looking for an outstanding Female Bank Support Worker with a passion for delivering excellent care.

Location: You will be working 42 hours per week (including days, nights, and weekends) and making a positive difference to the lives of individuals at Kensington Gardens, Darlington. Shifts include:

  • 7am – 7pm
  • 8am – 8pm
  • 10am – 10pm
  • Waking nights (7pm – 7am)

About the Service

Kensington Gardens provides four tenancies for individuals with:

  • Complex mental health needs
  • Learning disabilities
  • Autism
  • Challenging behaviours

The service is focused on empowering individuals to live more independently.

Note: Due to the occupational demands of the role and service needs, only female applicants may apply.


The Role

You’ll be providing vital support that allows our service users to find strength in themselves, contribute to their community, and start rediscovering what they love.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Offering enhanced care with a flexible learning approach for residents
  • Providing guidance and encouragement through both physical and emotional support
  • Learning about specific resident needs and accommodating them appropriately
  • Assisting with medical and welfare needs, and reporting as required
  • Ensuring safeguarding procedures are followed
  • Maintaining a safe and clean environment for all
