Support Worker – Supported Living Roles

Compassionate and committed individuals are invited to apply for the role of Support Worker in our Supported Living settings. This fulfilling position will allow you to assist adults with autism, learning disabilities, mental health needs, complex needs, and behaviours that challenge—empowering them to live safer, more independent, and joyful lives.
You’ll play a pivotal role in encouraging autonomy, building self-confidence, and fostering personal growth through day-to-day support and opportunities for meaningful engagement.
Location
Primarily based in Derby, but the successful applicant(s) will initially work in Mansfield during a transition period.
Job Details
- Job Type: Full-Time (36 hours per week)
- Salary: £13.50 per hour
- Shift Pattern: Days and Waking Nights (including weekend and bank holiday commitments)

Key Responsibilities
- Promote and uphold independence, dignity, choice, and respect at all times.
- Support individuals with:
- Daily living activities (medication, meals, shopping, budgeting, household chores, personal care)
- Social inclusion and community outings to boost confidence
- Physical and mental wellbeing through tailored support
- Implement and adhere to personalised person-centred support plans
- Encourage goal attainment for those in your care
- Use your training and experience to manage and de-escalate challenging behaviours
- Collaborate closely with your team to deliver consistent, high-quality support
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date daily records, reports, and incident logs
Requirements & qualifications
- Minimum 1 year’s experience in a support or care role
- Ability to work confidently with individuals exhibiting complex needs or behaviours that challenge
- Excellent communication skills with high levels of emotional resilience
- A genuine passion for making a difference
- A team player with a proactive, person-centred approach
- Minimum age: 18
- Justified right to work in the UK
- Adequate proficiency in speaking and understanding English for effective communication, record-keeping, and safeguarding
