About The Role

Job Purpose

To lead and direct a team in developing and delivering person-centred services:

  • Manage resources to achieve service user and contract outcomes
  • Develop staff to deliver high-quality care tailored to individual needs
  • Apply person-centred planning, review, and team development tools
  • Embed a quality assurance framework at service level

Key priorities include:

  • Positive relationships between staff and service users
  • Supporting individual outcomes and future goals
  • Keeping service users and their families at the heart of planning and review

Principal Accountabilities

  • Leadership: Champion person-centred practices in all operations
  • Individual Support: Oversee assessment, planning, monitoring, and reviewing of support
  • Staff Management:
    • Ensure high performance through team leadership, coaching, and development
    • Foster staff skills, strengths, and expertise
    • Manage recruitment, scheduling, and resource deployment efficiently
  • Compliance & Quality:
    • Ensure monitoring of internal/external incidents and resolution
    • Enforce adherence to policy, procedures, and legislation
    • Maintain standardised quality care
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Promote community connections
    • Easily collaborate with professionals across care services

Essential Criteria

Experience (required significance*)

  • Person-centred planning, review, and care for people with learning disabilities/mental health
  • Team management in a healthcare/social care environment
  • Staff supervision, appraisal, and resource budgeting
  • Partnership working (cross-agency, family, and service-user collaboration)
  • Operations of IT/software systems for service/people management

  • Person-centred specialist: Proven ability to inspire and embed individualised, strength-focused care.
  • Expert stakeholder engagement: Builds trusting relationships with service users, families, and professionals.
  • Policy application: Translates compliance into high-quality outcomes.
  • Resource management: Balances budget, IT, and team resources while prioritising impacts.

Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 3 in management or health/social care (or equivalent) or completion commitment.
  • Formal person-centred practice training (or relevant webif reyiled training/knowledge).

Other

  • Flexibility for onsite and flexible/unusual hours, including weekends/weekdays.
  • Willingness for on-call duties
