Want to get a taste of working in media and the arts from within the world’s largest ideas and music festival?
About the Programme
We’re on the hunt for enthusiastic and dedicated people to join our Kick-Starter Programme, a skills development programme for young people (or the young at heart) interested in the media or creative industries who are looking to gain valuable experience for their future careers. You will volunteer alongside our fun and friendly festival team to produce HowTheLightGetsIn London 2026, from the 19-20th September!
The festival is a unique event which sees world-leading thinkers and performers gather at our beautiful festival location at Kenwood House in Hampstead Heath. Not only will you learn new skills and meet new friends and contacts, you will also get the unique experience of seeing festival debates, live music, film, and comedy from behind the scenes as part of our team.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
