Reports to: Head of Client Solutions & Product
Role Purpose
The Client Solutions & Product Manager role is central to Future Growth Capital’s (FGC) mission to be the leading provider of multi-private assets solutions to the UK pensions market.
This role bridges multiple functions to deliver pensions clients the required solutions, expertise, and content for navigating private markets. It works across key stakeholders, including:
- Schroders Client Group
- Schroders Capital Marketing
- Standard Life
- Phoenix Group
- FGC investment team
With the objective of delivering FGC’s capabilities to its partners and clients.

Based at 1 London Wall Place, FGC’s mission:
- Unlock global private markets for UK pension savers
- Build multi-private assets solutions to support retirement outcomes and economic growth
- Generate higher investment returns needed for pensions

- Investment team: Focused on performance via multi-private assets solutions and bespoke client services
- Capabilities:
- Private markets strategy & solutions
- Direct deal sourcing
- External manager selection
- Support functions: Client solutions & marketing

Key Responsibilities
- Profit & client delivery:
- Contribute to FGC’s commercial success through collaboration with multiple teams (client-facing and financial)
- Client-centric activities:
- Materials development: Pitchbooks, sales aids, RFPs, Due Diligence Questionnaires (DDQ), data room aids, market research
- Thought leadership: Coordinate and contribute to whitepapers
- Direct client engagement: Work with consultants, pension schemes, trustees, including:
- In-person/online interactions
- Events/conferences
- Focus on client-centric & solution-oriented approaches
- Marketing & PR support: Coordinate campaigns with marketing/PR teams to enhance FGC’s profile
- Standard Life collaboration: Work closely across Standard Life’s soil-functions (Sales, Pensions Proposition, Marketing, PR) to deliver FGC’s expertise to their clients
- Presentation delivery: Produce high-quality reports, proposals, and presentations—both written and verbally—for clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders
- Client management:
- Ongoing relationship cultivation
- Periodic reviews & client update meetings
- Market awareness:
- Stay current on regulatory changes impacting private markets
- Monitor UK pensions industry trends
- Compliance & documentation:
- Ensure all client engagement activities are up-to-date, well-documented, and compliant with regulatory frameworks
- Cross-functional coordination:
- During client mandates, oversee collaboration between investment teams, structuring, legal partners, and Client Directors for implementation and monitoring

Key Competencies & Skills
- Analytical & problem-solving: Strong ability to dissect complex data or situations
- Communication: Clear written & verbal skills; ability to present to internal & external stakeholders with confidence
- Market expertise: Understanding of private asset classes
- Client advocacy:
- Client-centric mindset
- Experience in project/proposal management
- Teamwork: Work effectively within cross-functional teams and adapt in a dynamic environment
- Initiative & accountability:
- Produce deliverables independently when needed
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritise tight deadlines
Experience & Qualifications
- Education: Degree level or equivalent preferred
- Professional qualifications: Awareness of working towards or completion of relevant qualifications (e.g., CFA, CAIA, MBA) desirable
- Client experience: Prior direct client-facing roles desirable
- Regulatory knowledge: Familiarity with UK institutional investment regulatory frameworks
- Industry background: Leading asset manager, consultancy, or investment bank experience recommended
