Wessex Internet: Fibre Installation Engineer
Wessex Internet is an award-winning broadband provider on a mission to revolutionize rural connectivity across the Southwest. As we expand across the New Forest, Wiltshire, and South & West Dorset, we’re looking for experienced Fibre Installation Engineers to join our growing team.
As a key member of our Installations team, you’ll play a crucial role in connecting customers to our fibre network - bringing high-speed internet to the homes and businesses that need it most. You’ll be the final step in the customer journey, ensuring each connection is completed to a high standard and delivering the speeds we promise.

What you’ll be doing:
- Install full fibre internet connections for both residential and business customers.
- Diagnose and resolve service issues to maintain reliable customer connectivity.
- Perform scheduled and emergency maintenance across the Wessex Internet network.
- Support the engineering team with maintenance and service delivery of ISP infrastructure.
- Participate in an out-of-hours rota, providing evening and weekend cover as required.
- Work at height to install equipment on masts and customer properties.
- Operate independently and collaboratively to meet company targets and KPIs.
- Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety regulations and best practices.

- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Solid experience in telecoms installation (or related field).
- Proactive problem-solver with a positive, team-focused attitude.
- Self-motivated, reliable, and well-organised.
- Eager to learn and open to new processes and technology.
- Comfortable working at height (training preferred).
- Full UK driving licence (held for at least 12 months).
