Field 1st Line Support Engineer

We’re looking for a Field 1st Line Support Engineer to join a busy and growing team based in Bracknell. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong communication skills, a technical mindset, and a proactive approach to customer support.

About the Role

The ideal Field 1st Line Support Engineer will:

  • Handle customer queries and technical issues confidently
  • Manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Maintain high standards of customer service

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing first-line assistance
  • Prioritising workloads
  • Troubleshooting basic technical issues
  • Working with Windows operating systems and remote connection tools

You should be comfortable working with service level agreements (SLAs) and either independently or as part of a support team.

Depending on your background

You should have:

  • Previous experience in a support desk, helpdesk, or coordination role (preferably in facilities, fire and security, or mechanical support)
  • Strong communication skills and a professional, proactive approach
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Confidence in managing tasks in a speed-driven setting

Salary & Location

  • Salary: £32,000 to £37,000 per year
  • Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week
  • Location: Office-based in Bracknell

What You’ll Do

  • Serve as the first point of contact for incoming support requests
  • Offer first-line assistance, coordinate issues, and ensure resolution
  • Manage service tickets and update internal systems
  • Provide clear updates to customers throughout the process
  • Remote troubleshooting, escalations, and support collaboration with engineers and internal teams
  • Contribute to continuous improvements in the department
  • Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge through training & development
