Our software tools enable companies around the world to develop highly innovative electronic products faster and more cost-effectively. Our customers use our tools to push the boundaries of technology and physics to deliver better products in the increasingly complex world of chip, board, and system design.

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Field Application Engineering Manager to lead a high-performing technical sales engineering team and drive growth across our Hardware Assisted Verification portfolio. In this role, you will leverage your deep expertise in hardware emulation, emulation offload and acceleration, FPGA prototyping, Design for Test (DFT), and power-aware verification of complex SoCs to guide customer engagements, shape product direction, and partner closely with Sales, Marketing, and Research & Development.

You will develop and mentor Field Application Engineers, ensure successful technical evaluations, and represent customer needs across the organization. This is a high-impact leadership position that requires strong technical credibility, excellent communication skills, and the ability to influence roadmap decisions. The role involves regular customer interaction and requires up to 50% travel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Field Application Engineer team execution across technical sales activities for assigned portfolio and product line
  • Guide evaluations and customer engagements with strong knowledge of emulation, offload and hybrid flows, prototyping, DFT, and power-aware verification methodologies
  • Present technical value and business impact—including return on investment, time-to-market, and productivity gains—to customers and executives
  • Define success criteria for technical engagements and ensure competitive differentiation
  • Partner with Sales and Account Directors on opportunity planning and multi-year strategy
  • Identify new business opportunities, customer requirements, and competitive trends; provide structured feedback to Marketing and Research & Development to influence roadmap and product enhancements
  • Support regional technical account planning and cross-portfolio solution strategy
  • Collaborate closely with Account Technology Managers, Product Engineering, Research & Development, Support, and Services to address customer requirements and technical issues
  • Prioritize Field Application Engineer resource allocation across accounts and engagements
  • Drive alignment and collaboration across regions for global accounts
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing Field Application Engineer team
  • Manage hiring, onboarding, training, performance management, and retention
  • Ensure continuous development in emulation, prototyping, DFT, and low-power methodologies
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, communication, and technical excellence

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
