This is a field-based role in the UK or EU5, and you will spend 60-75% of your time working across the European territory supporting customers.

You will have direct input to our mission to democratize data-driven medicine for the ultimate benefit of cancer and rare disease patients across the globe.
Your mission
As our Field Application Specialist you will be responsible for training and supporting our customers on all SOPHiA GENETICS Bundle solutions. You will closely interact with the sales and product management teams to relay customer needs and feedback, ensuring we continuously improve our offerings. You will also contribute to ongoing laboratory projects, such as protocol optimizations, and support the team by drafting scientific and quality documents, including fact sheets and work instructions.

Customer Training and Support:
- Provide appropriate training to customers on SOPHiA GENETICS solutions, manage customer support
- Build effective relationships with new and existing clients for field application purpose, monitor the customer feedback on product usage
Internal Laboratory participation:
- Elaborate laboratory documents
- Train internal and external collaborators

Product Development:
- Gather feedback from customers regarding their needs, communicate internally for product design improvement
- Coordinate with the development and/or marketing team for proper market implementation
Requirements
We know that every background is different, but to be best set for success we see you bringing:
- Hands-on wet-lab NGS experience, including library preparation; theoretical NGS knowledge alone is insufficient.
- Previous experience in a FAS, Implementation or SME style role is highly required, while prior commercial or customer-facing experience is preferred; sales experience is not required.
- Hamilton liquid-handling automation experience is highly valuable for at least one hire and should ideally include understanding installed scripts and troubleshooting errors
- This role is unlikely to suit someone making their first move from an academic lab - Ideally you'll have previous experience interacting with customer or external parties and be able to translate complex technical and clinical terms into simple language.
- An ability to travel 60-75% to various locations across Europe to execute training and any customer support
- You will need to be fully fluent in English - Additional European language skills beneficial.
