The Role
Customer Training & Technical Support Specialist (Remote & On-Site)
Your work will focus on adopting, supporting, and maximising the adoption of Standard BioTools CyTOF® Mass Cytometry platforms in scientific research environments worldwide. Whether remotely or on-site, you will:

Provide customer training, including on-site and in-house courses

Offer applications support via phone, email, and in-person, troubleshooting:
- User technical skill challenges
- Instrument operation issues
- Experimental design concerns
- Data analysis problems

Assist in developing technical documentation (manuals, application notes, presentations)

Support technical sales by organising applications-based seminars and product demonstrations

Manage proof-of-principle experiments for prospective customers, and assist their grant applications

Conduct new product evaluations with R&D and beta sites

Deliver feedback from customers and field use back to R&D

Maintain support documentation in the company enterprise database

Clearly communicate project status, risks, and progress to staff and leadership

Key Responsibilities
This role suits someone who:

Essential Requirements
Candidates should possess:
- M.S. in life sciences required • Ph.D. + strong immunology background preferred
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience in biochemistry or cell biology lab techniques
- Prior experience in field applications support
- Expertise in:
- Troubleshooting cytometry-related software, instruments, applications, and data analysis
- Diplomacy and customer care—supporting stakeholders at all career levels

Travel & Flexibility
- Travel requirement: ~60% (rotating across assigned territory and wider EMEA region as needed)
