Field HSE Lead
Field HSE Lead (15-Month Contract, NZT Time Zone)
As Field HSE Lead, you will manage a team of 4 HSE officers under the Project HSE Manager while contributing to BP’s NEP / NZT Carbon Capture Project.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement HSE management systems at the site and manage subcontractor compliance in line with company guidelines and standards
- Act as the HSE focal point, ensuring comprehensive management of all HSE issues for the site, including:
- Knowledge and application of CDM regulations and UK Legislation
- Develop and manage the Field HSE team
- Provide HSE support and advice to project and site management teams
- Collaborate with the on-site environmental management team
- Lead accident/investigation processes
- Establish and implement site-level HSE monitoring and audit programs
- Oversee and lead Risk Management processes, including:
- HAZOP (Hazard and Operability Studies)
- HAZID (Hazard Identification)
- Hazard and Effect Management Process
- Risk assessments
- Interface effectively with clients, subcontractors, and regulatory authorities
- Develop an emergency response plan for identified risks and potential incidents

Experience
- Proven track record as an HSE Manager or in HSE-related activities
- Preference for experience with international oil and gas producers’ standards
Education
- NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualification
Certification
- ISO 45001 Lead Auditor certification preferred
