Where will you be working?
At M Group Telecom, we’re enabling and enhancing telecom networks, playing a lead role in the delivery of our tech enabled future.
We deliver full network cycle services for fixed, private and mobile operators.
This role will be within our Fixed networks team, you’ll join our people who support providing turnkey solutions for the surveying, designing, building and commissioning new networks, while supporting the repair, maintenance and operation of existing networks.

What will you be doing?
At MGroup Ltd, we work in telecoms. We are looking for a new Field Manager to help our teams. In this role, you help engineers do safe and high quality field work. You look after day-to-day jobs and focus on results. You also lead your team and check their work meets company and client standards.
- You coach and support engineers to help them grow.
- You make sure work is safe and done well each day.
- Problems may come up. You are there to help fix these.
- You check all tools and vehicles are ready for use.
- You also help new people start and support those who leave.
You look after the team. You see who does well and who needs some support. You give feedback and help them do better. You talk to the staff team when there are issues, so things improve. You keep everyone updated and share messages.
Safety comes first. You help your team keep safe and use all equipment in the right way. If something goes wrong, you look into it and work to fix it. You follow up on what happened and look for ways to stop it happening again.
You keep good records. You check data is correct. You share updates and reports with managers when they are needed. You look at what the numbers tell you and act to make things better.

You check tools, equipment, and vehicles. You sort out any problems and order things when you need to. You check vehicles each month and make sure they are kept well.
You also speak with customers and clients. If someone has a problem, you listen and help sort it out. You work with teams in the office and out in the field, and share good ideas to help everyone.
Some other tasks may come up as part of the job. You always work in line with MGroup policies and standards.

What you’ll bring;
- You have worked with teams before. You are used to leading a group of engineers. You may have managed up to eighteen engineers, one senior engineer, and a hoist driver at the same time. You understand what is needed for the job every day.
- You know how important it is to keep vehicles and tools safe and up to standard. You follow set ways of working and make sure rules are always kept. You check equipment records and keep these up to date. You also use computer systems and digital tools with ease. Records are kept right and shared on time.
- You work together with other teams when needed. You keep in touch with our PFL team to organise changes and updates. You give correct details and make sure all records are updated, and nothing is missed.
- You can adapt to business needs. You are ready to work weekdays but sometimes may need to help at weekends if the business needs you. Changes come with enough notice. In future, you may help run a team that works any five days from Monday to Saturday.
- You show high standards each day. You support safety, care about correct records, and make sure all team members know what is needed. You always bring care, teamwork, and a focus on doing things well.
