Utilizing innovative methods to identify patients who may benefit from treatment, we must take a highly strategic approach to patient access, assisting patients and their caregivers to navigate the healthcare system.
The Opportunity
As a Field Reimbursement Manager (FRM), you will play a critical role in optimizing access to Genentech products by addressing reimbursement barriers. Key responsibilities include:
- Work with key decision-makers to develop reimbursement strategies.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure drug accessibility.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for a range of products, handling complex access cases.
- Develop a reimbursement framework to train case managers and Team Account Managers (TAMs), addressing non-patient-identifiable issues.
- Utilize a deep understanding of the ecosystem and reimbursement landscape to achieve patient access goals and enhance customer and patient experience.
- Act as a liaison between Field and Home Office functions, staying updated on payer policies impacting patient access.
- Demonstrate advanced knowledge of portfolio products, access and reimbursement programs.
- Collaborate on cross-functional strategies to address reimbursement challenges.

This is a field-based position, primarily covering accounts in Delaware and the Eastern Shore of Maryland. Candidates living in that area are preferred for consideration.
Who You Are
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or another related graduate degree preferred.
- 8+ years of cross-functional industry experience in commercial life sciences (pharma or biotech) or a related industry.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in:
- Managed care and reimbursement (directly in/from the pharmaceutical/biotech industry).
- Relevant large-scale practice management or payer relationships.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of reimbursement and practice management environments.
- Ability to effectively address and resolve patient access barriers.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with both private and public payers.
- Background in other pharmaceutical/biotech functions, such as:
- Product marketing,
- Managed care marketing,
- Field sales/sales management,
- Field account management.
- Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding goals and objectives.
- Experience completing and implementing attainable business plans.
- Understanding of external laws, codes, and company policies governing the healthcare industry.
- Compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, policies, and procedures impacting Genentech’s activities.

- Relocation Benefits: Not available for this position.
- Travel: This role may require overnight travel.
- Driving: Frequent driving (company-provided or personal vehicle) and prolonged periods of sitting are essential job duties.
- Background Checks: Genentech may review candidates’ motor vehicle records.
- Compensation:
- Expected Salary Base Range (Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland): $153,800 – $285,600 (dependent on experience, location, and qualifications).
- Incentive Compensation: Eligible based on an applicable Incentive Compensation Plan.
