Field Based Sales Account Manager – Construction Industry
About the Role
As a Field Based Sales Account Manager, you will play a critical role in driving growth and enhancing customer satisfaction within the construction sector. You will develop your expertise with our support to become the go-to specialist in your industry.
Every day you will visit customers to propose productivity-enhancing solutions, solve problems, and identify new business opportunities—ensuring each interaction delivers measurable value.
At Hilti, your direct B2B sales approach makes an immediate and meaningful difference. You will champion improvements in productivity, safety, and sustainability by being present and proactive on sites.
Territory Coverage: Edinburgh and surrounding areas.
What You’ll Do
- Daily site engagement: Visit customer locations and construction sites (Monday to Friday) to build relationships, generate leads, and sell solutions.
- Proactive pipeline management: Actively grow your customer base using proven strategies, paired with innovative thinking—supported by modern tools and training.
- Market awareness: Stay updated on industry trends to bring a solution-focused mindset to every customer interaction.
What You’ll Bring
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven customer-facing sales experience, preferably within construction or a related industry.
- Experience thriving in a dynamic, fast-paced, results-driven environment, with a strong ability to identify and develop new business opportunities.
- Strong organisational skills and independence—capable of managing your own time and priorities effectively.
- Resilience and adaptability, with confidence to engage at all levels of stakeholders (from Site Operators to Managing Directors).
- A solution-oriented mindset, adept at pinpointing customer challenges and delivering tailored, high-value propositions.
- Self-motivation, drive, and curiosity to succeed, learn, and progress.
- Full UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
