About us

Anglian Home Improvements has been designing and building conservatories since 1966 — every product made in Britain, and the majority of our customers say they'd recommend us to friends and family. We're growing our Solihull-based sales team, covering Birmingham and the surrounding areas.

The role

You'll visit homeowners who have already asked to see us — pre-booked, pre-qualified appointments generated by our national marketing, local teams and showrooms. No cold calling. No knocking doors to find your own leads.

In each appointment you'll:

  • Sit down with homeowners and understand what they really want from their new space
  • Design their extension, conservatory or garden room with them from our product range
  • Present a price on the day and ask for the business
  • Hand a clean, accurate order to our surveyors and installation teams

Your diary will include some evenings and weekends, because that's when homeowners are in; in return you get genuine control over your week.

Pay — how it actually works

This is a self-employed, commission-only role. There is no basic salary: you earn commission on every completed sale. Before you accept anything, we'll take you through the full commission structure in writing — the rates, when you're paid, and what happens if an order cancels — so you know exactly how the role works before you commit.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What you'll get

  • Appointments supplied — you focus on selling; we keep your diary filled
  • Full product and sales training course — a structured induction at no cost to you, so no home improvement experience is needed

  • Recognition and incentives — monthly awards, team contests and Anglian's national rewards

Is this you?

  • Experience in sales, construction, or another customer-facing role — in-home or high-value sales is a bonus, but attitude matters more than your CV

  • A good problem solver
  • Full UK driving licence and your own car
  • Comfortable with self-employed, commission-only pay (we'll explain exactly how it works before you commit to anything)

Straight talk

Commission-only means real flexibility, being your own boss, and an income that reflects your effort and skill — particularly in your first weeks while you train. We'd rather tell you that upfront: the people who thrive here come in with their eyes open. If that excites you more than it worries you, we should talk.

How to apply

Apply here with your profile or CV — or message me directly on LinkedIn if you'd rather start with a conversation. Our process is simple: a phone chat, a Teams meeting, and a face-to-face meeting in Solihull, then an offer and your induction date. I respond to every applicant personally.

Anglian Home Improvements is committed to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion. We recruit the best person for the job regardless of any protected characteristic as defined by the Equality Act 2010.
