Field Sales Consultant – Your Way – Home/Field Based (Liverpool Street area, Central London)

At Brakes, we’re scaling our ‘Your Way’ independent sales programme—a unique offering where Field Sales Consultants take sole responsibility for driving business growth in a personalised one-square-mile neighbourhood.

You’ll ensure performance, profitability, and profitable volume growth by transforming opportunities into sales—all while evolving a ** Loyal customer base** and strengthening community ties.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Growth
- Conduct research to identify and analyse revenue-generating opportunities within your dedicated neighbourhood.
- Lead outbound prospecting to secure new accounts in high-potential sectors (e.g., caterers, schools, care homes, hospitals, pubs, and restaurants).
- Implement face-to-face sales strategies, holding regular meetings with stakeholders to understand needs and build long-term relationships.
Customer Relationship Management
- Onboard new customers with a structured and professional approach, ensuring seamless transition and adoption.
- Maximise sales from existing accounts by proactively monitoring needs, renewal cycles, and upselling opportunities.
- Leverage Salesforce to log activity, track targets, and maintain records of contacts, deals, and business trends.

Collaboration & Drive Delivery
- Partner closely with your dedicated distribution & driver team to align on service expectations, workloads, and schedule needs.
- Contribute to community-led sales initiatives by staying informed on competition activity, competitor pricing, and market demand trends.
Performance & Targets
- Achieve and exceed profitability and volume targets within your assigned neighbourhood.
- Ensure your performance mirrors the UK’s largest foodservice provider’s reputation for delivery excellence.
Essential Requirements
To excel in this role, you must deliver a strong blend of technical, relational, and commercial skills:
- Proven success in Field Sales or Account Management (preferably within distribution, foodservice, or hospitality).
- Expertise in Excel for data analysis, report writing, and financial forecasting.
- Commercial acumen—ability to identify opportunities, negotiate costs, and close deals.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills: Passionate about building trust and long-term business relationships.
- Self-disciplined with a tenacious work ethic—field roles demand ownership and autonomy.
- Regional mobility within the London area, as travel to all allocated neighbourhoods is required.
