Field Sales Engineer – West Midlands

Key Performance Areas
As a Field Sales Engineer, you will:
- Develop sales and profitability in the designated West Midlands geographical area.
- Prospect, make sales calls, train customers on products, and provide customer support/analysis, including:
- Product and process recommendations
- Documented cost reductions and CRM administration
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by:
- Implementing innovative machining techniques or cutting strategies
- Refining current methods/procedures for customers’ optimisation

Your Profile
We are seeking a highly skilled candidate with:
- Strong technical expertise in:
- Manufacturing processes
- Cutting tool applications, with a metal cutting background
- Indexable milling (essential)
- Experience with 5-axis machine centres (advantageous)
- Familiarity with aerospace material machining (preferred)
- Office proficiency: Expertise in Microsoft Excel and other Office tools
- Communication skills:
- Confident, articulate verbal and written speaker
- Ability to present clearly to internal and external stakeholders
- Soft skills:
- Active listener and relationship builder
- Thrives in collaborative environments and as part of a team player
- Self-motivated, results-driven with strong time management
- Analytical mindset: Ability to plan and execute tasks with precision
- Persuasiveness, creativity and teamwork essential for commercial success

- Qualifications:
- HNC or HND in production/mechanical engineering
- Full and clean driving licence (essential for profession)
