🎯 The Role: Sales Engineer – Enterprise Select
As the technical owner of Samsara’s highest-value accounts, you’ll be:
✅ A strategic partner to the Sales Execution (AE) team ✅ Single-point accountable for technical wins, driving customer success through:
- Expert storytelling tailored to complex use cases
- Custom platform integrations
- Problem-solving with hands-on execution
Your impact extends beyond transactions—you’ll: 🔹 Lead strategic projects to elevate the entire Sales Engineering (SE) team 🔹 Test early access (alpha) features to refine our offerings 🔹 Define scalable processes that propel ** dibujed results for the organization**
This is a remote-hybrid (75% travel) role, with the UK’s London office as your hub. You’ll spend time in the field across the country, collaborating closely with both teams and end users.

📜 Core Responsibilities
🔧 Customer-Centric Account Management
- Demonstrate value on-site, via webinars, or at trade conferences, showcasing Samsara’s end-to-end platform capabilities.
- Facilitate remote/live proof-of-concepts, including hands-on hardware deployments for vehicles and equipment, ensuring stakeholders fully realize the platform’s potential.
ℹ️ Discovery & Solution Advocacy
- Partner with Account Executives to design and execute enterprise sales cycles across complex projects.
- Translate customer pain points into tailored solutions—balancing business interests with technical feasibility.
- Align insights with product teams (PM, engineering) to shape crisis-sensitive priorities.
📊 Strategic & Sales Enablement
- Answer RFI/RFP inquiries with technical accuracy.
- Use constraint vs. stakeholder needs analysis to de-risk deals and streamline flowcharts.
- Anticipate resistance with inventive strategies, driving commitment through visibility of outcomes.
🚧 Innovation & Team Growth
- Stay attuned to trends and advocate for how they evolve to drivers and fleet disruption.
- Pilot new alpha features with pilot customers, refining them for broader launch.
- Train/mentor less experienced colleagues on customer success adoptions.
✅ Minimum Qualifications
- 5+ years in customer-facing roles, with 3+ in pre-sales or technical account ownership.
- Proven track record selling complex B2B solutions (Enterprise tech/Embeddable IoT/Efficient Parsing Foreign series).
- MEDD+ICC and value selling experience? Bonus.
- Mastery of full deal lifecycle—scope → demo → closing.
🎓 Ideal Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with hardware spin-ups (e.g., vehicle/fleet IoT) or field trials.
- Technical background in: ✔ Cloud deployments, IoT hardware/software, networking, SaaS, automation, or control systems. ✔ RESTful API integrations. Scripting (Python, JavaScript) = even more valuable.
- Hobbyist DIY (e.g., tinkering with smart gadgets) or prior embedded systems dev experience.
- Prior roles within Logistics, Fleet, Supply Chain, Manufacturing or governing health/safety environments.
