About the Role

This is more than just a job—it’s a chance to become part of a trusted team, building long-standing relationships with retailers and wholesalers across the region in Scotland.

As a Field Sales Executive, you’ll work closely with Regional Sales Executives, ensuring customer engagement and varied responsibilities:

  • Introduce new products to independent retailers
  • Strengthen partnerships with key wholesale accounts
  • Drive sales, market share, distribution, and coverage goals
  • Educate retailers on brands and market/industry legislation
  • Identify new business opportunities through shopper behaviour insights

Key Responsibilities

Principal duties include:

  • Achieving KPI targets across wholesale and independent retailers
  • Developing deep customer insights and understanding shopper trends
  • Leading value-driven conversations to bolster relationships with wholesale outlets and independent retailers
  • Ensuring optimal use of trade incentives and activities
  • Travelling regularly (sometimes overnight) for fieldwork

Location & Requirements

  • Primary Travel Hub: Ideally based in Fife, but locations within the Central Belt (e.g., Perth, Clydesdale, Lothians, Forth Valley) may be considered
  • Must-have: Valid Full UK driving licence
  • Flexibility to travel and occasionally stay away overnight

Experience & Skills

You’ll thrive in this role if you possess:

  • Previous or current FMCG retail-facing sales experience
  • Brilliant communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to set and exceed challenging KPIs independently
  • Strong interpersonal abilities—loyalty, allyship, and rapport-building
  • Pro-active mindset, time management skills, and ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment
