Role Description The Field Sales Executive is a full-time, hybrid role covering the Barnsley area. In this position, the individual will:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities
  • Visit prospective and existing customers on-site
  • Present waste management solutions tailored to client needs
  • Manage a sales pipeline
  • Prepare quotations and proposals
  • Follow up on leads
  • Negotiate commercial terms within company guidelines

Qualifications

  • Proven field sales or business development experience, ideally within waste management, environmental services, or related sectors.
  • Strong client-facing skills, including relationship building, needs analysis, and solution-based selling.
  • Ability to manage a territory, plan site visits, and work effectively in a hybrid environment (office, field, and home).
  • Competence with CRM systems, basic data analysis, and standard office software (e.g., email, spreadsheets, presentations).
  • Clear and confident communication skills, with the ability to prepare proposals and present to stakeholders at different levels.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently while meeting targets and deadlines.
  • A valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel throughout South Yorkshire and surrounding areas.
  • Relevant education or training in sales, business, or environmental services is beneficial, though equivalent experience will be considered.
