For experienced Payments, Merchant Services, Acquiring and EPOS sales professionals only.
This is not an entry-level field sales position. We are specifically looking for individuals with proven experience selling within the payments, merchant services, acquiring or fintech sectors. Candidates without relevant industry experience are unlikely to possess the product knowledge, commercial understanding and sales approach required to succeed in this role.
About the Role
Are you a high-performing, professional salesperson who can consistently deliver revenue and commercial value, not just activity?
At Handepay, part of PayPoint Group, we are building a high-quality Field Sales team focused on sustainable revenue, multi-product selling, and strong commercial standards.
We are looking for high-performing payments and merchant services sales professionals who have a proven track record of winning and developing business within the SME market. This role is best suited to individuals who already understand the payments ecosystem, can confidently discuss acquiring, terminal solutions, eCommerce payments and value-added services, and are motivated by delivering commercial results.
As a Field Sales Manager, you will be responsible for acquiring new merchants with annual card turnover of up to £2.5million. You’ll be part of a team trusted to:
- Sell a multi-product payments proposition
- Deliver consistent net revenue
- Build long-term, commercially sound customer relationships
What you’ll be responsible for
- Drive new business growth through self-generated leads, networking, referrals and strategic partnerships.
- Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting and discovery through to negotiation, close and onboarding.
- Sell a multi-product payments proposition, including card acquiring, POS/EPOS, eCommerce, Pay-by-Link and value-added services.
- Deliver tailored, consultative solutions that address customer challenges and create measurable commercial value.
- Develop introducer and partner relationships to generate sustainable, repeatable deal flow.
- Maintain strong commercial discipline through effective pipeline management, accurate forecasting and consistent achievement of revenue targets.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
