Field Sales Representative
Self-Employed Field Sales Representative (Commission Only)
Realistic Full-Time Earnings: £40,000 – £50,000+ per year, with uncapped potential
Do you thrive when your income reflects your efforts? As a Self-employed Field Sales Representative at SumUp, you’ll help local small businesses access smarter payment and POS solutions—while earning strong, recurring revenue for yourself.
This role is fully field-based and face-to-face. You will:
- Engage with business owners
- Tailor accessible payment and POS solutions that drive their productivity
- Build genuine relationships with clients
No payments background required. If you excel in customer-facing roles—quickly building rapport, solving problems, and achieving targets—you’re just the kind of candidate we’re seeking.
Earning Potential
Your effort directly determines your income.
- Upfront value per business: ~£500
- Primary commission: 50% of the upfront value
- Recurring revenue: 25% of each customer’s total over 5 years
- Around 75% of a customer’s value is paid in year one
- Additional commissions: Earn extra on selling hardware (e.g., card machines, POS systems)

- Convert conversations: Turn initial meetings into long-term customers.
