Field Sales Representative
Self-Employed Field Sales Representative – Commission Only
(Self-Employed | Commission-Based | Fully Field-Based)
Realistic full-time earnings of £40,000–£50,000+ per year, with uncapped potential beyond that.

This hands-on, face-to-face role is fully field-based. You’ll:
- Meet business owners (cafés, salons, shops, restaurants, and more)
- Understand their operations
- Recommend trusted solutions that help them run and grow their business
You don’t need a payments background—but if you’ve built customer rapport, solved problems, and thrive self-driven, you’ll succeed here.
How You Earn
Your effort equals your income.
- Average upfront value per business: ~£500
- 50% upfront commission per sign-up
- 25% recurring income from each customer for up to 5 years
- ~75% of total value earned in the first year
- Extra commission on hardware (card machines, POS systems, etc.)

What You’ll Do
As a Self-Employed Field Sales Representative, your role includes:
- Selling smart payment solutions and POS systems to SMEs
- Conducting in-store demonstrations and live demos
- Building strong relationships with business owners
- Managing your own territory, pipeline, and salesGoals
- Turning prospects into long-term customers
- Representing SumUp as the go-to expert and trusted face in your local community
