Join a Growing Automation Business

Advance Conveyor Group designs, manufactures and installs bespoke conveyor and warehouse automation systems throughout the UK.

As our aftercare division continues to grow, we're looking for an experienced Field Service & Aftercare Engineer to become a key part of our customer support team.

This isn't just another service engineer role. You'll become the face of Advance on customer sites, helping keep systems running, building lasting customer relationships and identifying opportunities for upgrades, servicing, spare parts and future projects.

The Role

Working across customer sites throughout the UK, you'll carry out planned maintenance, breakdown support and system inspections while delivering an outstanding customer experience.

  • Planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
  • Breakdown response and fault diagnosis
  • Mechanical and electrical repairs
  • Producing clear service reports and recommendations
  • Building strong relationships with customers
  • Identifying improvement opportunities and future work
  • Supporting quotations for remedial works and spare parts
  • Updating our CRM following every customer visit
  • Working safely and professionally at all times

The role is approximately 70% travelling to customer sites and 30% workshop, administration and reporting.

Regular overnight stays will be required.

About You

You'll ideally have:

  • Strong mechanical and electrical engineering experience
  • Previous field service or maintenance experience
  • 18th Edition qualification
  • ECS Card
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Excellent fault-finding skills
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Confidence working independently
  • Strong organisational and reporting skills

  • Conveyor or automation experience
  • Materials handling experience
  • Experience working to Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
