Your role
The mission and purpose of the Field Service Engineer is to provide best in class technical support to customers for semiconductor products to ensure system and product safety, uptime, and availability in support for our customers' productivity to improve their satisfaction.
The Field Service Engineer Accomplishes This Mission By
- Performing complex customer support activities including but not limited to installation, modification, repair and preventive maintenance tasks of Edwards Vacuum- and Abatement equipment and systems to ensure proper working order.
- Working without direct supervision following established policies and procedures to ensure company and customer quality standards are met.
Engineers and experienced technicians are expected to deliver a superior customer experience by exhibiting our core principles.
To succeed, you will need
- First-time installation and commissioning of Edwards products
- Perform complex troubleshooting
- Performing service and maintenance of customer equipment according to Edwards global standards, including preparation, follow-up, and documentation of activities in our internal systems, to ensure complete customer satisfaction.
- Works alongside teammates
- Assisting customers in selecting suitable products, including service offerings and solutions.
- Analysing data readouts from our products
- Ensuring quality assurance of site assets and processes
- Supporting the Team Leader and Service Manager and providing holiday and sickness cover for the Team Leader as needed.
- Leveraging your expertise in technology, processes, and networking to support teammates.
- Being an Edwards Champion and lead generator
- Show a visible and active commitment to ensure all monitored field service activities comply with applicable regulations, policies, and procedures, meeting organizational health and safety obligations.
- Develop factual, detailed reports for the team leader
- Use Edwards processes and platforms to accurately capture service information
- Responsible for the service and maintenance of customer equipment
