Field Service Engineer
UK Wide Home Based with Regular Workshop Time in Milton Keynes
We are currently recruiting for a Field Service Engineer to join a well-established and highly respected engineering business supplying specialist testing equipment.
This is an excellent opportunity for a mechanically biased engineer looking to join a business that invests in training and development, offering a varied role covering field service, calibration, testing, maintenance, and equipment support across the UK.

The Role
Field Service Engineer
As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, testing, and supporting a range of specialist equipment.
Working from home, the workshop and travelling across the UK, you will attend customer sites to carry out inspections, repairs, fault finding, commissioning activities, and preventative maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned maintenance and reactive repairs on customer equipment
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical and hydraulic faults
- Undertake equipment inspections, servicing, and performance checks
- Support commissioning and installation activities at customer sites
- Complete service documentation and technical reports
- Carry out fault-finding on basic electrical systems and control components
- Replace electrical components, including circuit boards and associated hardware
- Support workshop-based servicing, testing, and equipment preparation activities
Requirements
Essential
- Previous experience working on the road
- Experience working with hydraulic systems
- Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical faults
- Basic electrical knowledge and fault-finding capability
- Comfortable replacing electrical components such as circuit boards
- Full UK driving licence
- Willingness to travel throughout the UK with occasional overnight stays

- Knowledge of civil engineering, construction, laboratory, or materials testing equipment
