Field Service Engineer

Location: Doncaster area (covering DN12, DN3, DN4, DN9)

The Role

We are seeking a Field Service Engineer to maintain, diagnose, and repair Linde material handling equipment, including:

  • Pallet trucks
  • Internal combustion (IC) trucks
  • Very Narrow Aisle (VNA) trucks
  • Automated trucks
  • Powered access equipment

Key Responsibilities

  • Fault diagnosis and rectification of forklifts and related material handling equipment at customer sites
  • Preventative maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and longevity
  • Covering the Doncaster area (DN12, DN3, DN4, DN9) without geographical restrictions
  • Working with a range of vehicle types from small pallet trucks to advanced automated solutions

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

✔ Machine/vehicle technicians or mechanical engineers with experience in:

  • Forklift repair
  • Plant fitting/technology
  • Heavy equipment (tractors, agricultural machinery, industrial cleaners)
  • Minimum 1 technical discipline: Mechanical, Electrical, or Hydraulics ✔ NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) preferred but not mandatory ✔ ITC electronically literate for order processing and record-keeping ✔ Full UK driving licence (required for all travel)
