About Us
Portico GB Ltd is a leading subcontractor to the new build industry based in Woolpit near Bury St Edmunds. We supply and install windows, doors, conservatories, and wardrobe systems to the new build sector.
The Role
Due to continued expansion, we are looking to recruit a Customer Service Engineer to join our growing team. This is a varied role involving travel across Essex, the Home Counties, London, and Kent, to provide remedial and repair work on customers’ windows and doors.
The successful candidate will ideally have experience in fitting windows and doors or maintaining them, though training will be provided. A CSCS card would be a plus. A full UK driving licence is required.

During the training period, you will work alongside an experienced engineer before taking over your workload and appointments independently.
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out remedial and repair works on customers’ windows and doors within agreed timeframes
- Visiting customer sites to identify and assess issues requiring attention
- Managing your own diary in collaboration with the office team
- Collating and processing client documentation
- Liaising with the office regarding parts and materials required for repairs
- Completing accurate reports after each customer visit
- Supporting the team with additional duties when workloads are lighter
- Maintaining a professional and customer-focused approach at all times

What We’re Looking For
- Experience in fitting or maintaining windows and doors (not strictly required—full training provided)
- A valid full UK driving licence (essential)
- Possession of a CSCS card (advantageous)
- Good organisational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage your workload
- A practical, hands-on, and proactive approach
- A reliable, professional and customer-focused attitude
