The Opportunity
We’re hiring a Field Engineer to join our field services team, delivering exceptional customer experiences and contributing to area, regional and national success. The ideal candidate will:
- Focus on repairs and service deliveries, aiming for an industry-leading first-time fix rate while adhering to all technical and health & safety standards
- Train 6 weeks of on-site induction (City & Guilds assured) before continuing specialist on-job development
- Act as a brand advocate, promoting Zip Water products and HydroCare services by offering tailored hydration solutions to customers
- Conduct metry diagnoses, fault finding and repairs with technical accuracy
- Ensure admin compliance with internal and regulatory requirements

Key Responsibilities
- Drive onsite service efficiency by ensuring quick, high-quality repairs, minimising customer disruption
- Provide consultative customer interactions, upselling where appropriate, and fostering long-term brand loyalty
- Stay up to date with parts replenishment, stock management and process-compliance protocols
- Maintain company documentation (orders, service logs, maintenance plans)
- Safely handle and transport water systems and associated equipment
Requirements
- Technical aptitude with a background in repairs and fault diagnostics (formal qualifications not essential, but preferred)
- Problem-solving mindset with meticulous attention to detail
- Customer service experience is desirable (training provided), with an ability to promote Zip’s solutions
- Must hold a valid UK driving license
- Knowledge of plumbing or electrical systems is advantageous
