We are currently recruiting for a Field Service Engineer vacancy. This is an excellent opportunity to join us at a skilled level in a division that drives the business forwards through providing a best in class engineering service to our customers.
What You Will Do
The Service Engineer performs required preventive and corrective maintenance on the STERIS/Cantel product lines and conducts field troubleshooting primarily in their assigned service areas.
- Perform preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance required on STERIS/Cantel product lines, associated product lines, and competitive equipment
- This includes disassembling devices, replacing or repairing defective parts
- Rewiring, reassembling as required
- Troubleshooting, adjusting/calibrating
- Certifying equipment ready for use using standard and specialized tools and test equipment (i.e., schematics, diagrams, technical manuals)
- Follow all protocols and procedures as directed by the Corporate applications (Siebel, Oracle, Sales Connection)

Duties Continued

perform administrative duties assigned including:
- Synchronize computer systems daily
- Complete service reports
- Maintain tools and parts inventory according to prescribed levels as instructed by Team Leaders and Service Manager

Build and maintain effective, communicative relationships with customers, management, support functions, and sales teams

Adhere to a courteous, professional demeanour at all times when interacting with:
- Customers
- Contractors
- Management
- Fellow employees

Follow all customer protocols, STERIS health & safety protocols, and manage entry/exit of facilities

Provide customers with tailored solutions to drive sales and growth in the field:
- Effectively position STERIS/Cantel products and services
- Identify opportunities
- Share leads with management and sales teams

Perform other duties as assigned by the Service Manager, with flexibility in response to the demands of the team.

Requirements
Education
- degree preferred
Required Experience
- Minimum 2 years of industry-related experience
- General knowledge of operating washing and sterilisation processing units
Licensing
- Valid driver’s licence required
Skills
- Exceptional troubleshooting skills
- Demonstrated organizational attitude
- Computer literacy with a strong foundation in both oral and written communication skills
- Sufficient technical proficiency with the English language
- Aesthetic completion of a recognized mechanical, electrical, or electronic technical training scheme
