Field Service Engineer
Across the South
EXTENSIVE TRAINING WILL BE PROVIDED
We are currently recruiting for a Field Service Engineer to join a growing renewable energy business, supporting assets across the South of the UK.
Package & Benefits
- Up to £45k base
- On-call allowance: £165 per week
- Overtime paid for call-outs (minimum 4 hours per call)
- Company van provided
- 26 days annual leave + bank holidays
- Ongoing training (including Gas Safe and OEM systems)
The Role
As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the maintenance, operation, and performance of power plant systems, ensuring high reliability and minimal downtime.

Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across power generation plants
- Diagnose and repair faults on power generation systems
- Support installation, commissioning, and post-handover defect rectification
- Identify required spare parts and support asset reliability improvements
- Respond to breakdowns and participate in an on-call rota
Requirements
- Experience working in a field-based role
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills across mechanical and basic electrical systems
- Experience completing service and inspection reports
Working Pattern

- Monday to Friday (40 hours per week, between 8am-7pm)
- Overtime paid at 1.5x
- On-call rota: 1 week in 5 (Friday to Friday) call outs paid at 1.5x for a minimum of 4 hours
- Frequent travel across the South with occasional overnight stays
