Field Service Engineer
Location: Bolton
Hours: Full time, Shift Pattern - 5 days - (Tuesday to Saturday 08:30 - 5.30pm )
Salary: £32,000 plus Company Van

Key Responsibilities
- Installation and Setup: Install and configure Wi-Fi networks, including routers, extenders and other related equipment.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues related to Wi-Fi connectivity and performance.
- Network: Wi-Fi networks for performance, including channel selection, signal strength adjustments, and interference management.
- Customer Support: Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer concerns and explaining technical information in an understandable manner.
- Site Surveys: Conduct on-site surveys to assess signal coverage, identify potential interference sources, and recommend appropriate.
- Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and firmware updates on Wi-Fi equipment to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Product Delivery: Install/Upsell our amazing packages including our 8GB service with the latest ASUS gaming routers.
- Run Cat 6 Ethernet cable for relocating routers or to hardwire a customer’s specific device.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of Wi-Fi technology, including standards (e.g., 802.11ac, 802.11ax), encryption methods, and networking principles.
- Experience: Previous experience as a Wi-Fi technician or in a similar role. Hands-on experience with installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of Wi-Fi networks is highly desirable.
- Customer Service Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical customers.
- Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve technical issues effectively.
- Education: Technical certifications or training in networking or telecommunications are preferred.
- Ethernet Cables: Know the colour code of an ethernet cable and be able to make one on request at customer properties.
