About the Role
Are you ready to take the next step in your career as a Field Service Engineer at Linde Material Handling in London (covering SE & SW areas)? Linde, a global leader in forklift trucks and warehouse equipment, is seeking skilled professionals to join their dynamic team.
As a Field Service Engineer, you’ll embark on an exciting journey working with a diverse range of products—from pallet trucks to counterbalance forklifts, modern VNA (Very Narrow Aisle) trucks to automated solutions. This role offers hands-on problem-solving and ensures our equipment operates at peak efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues in forklift trucks and material handling equipment.
- Conduct preventative maintenance checks to keep fleets running smoothly.
- Travel to customer sites to service Linde forklifts, build strong relationships, and deliver unparalleled support.
- Work autonomously or as part of a team, ensuring our clients’ operations thrive.
- Participate in training and long-term development opportunities.
Key Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience working as a vehicle technician, mechanical engineer, forklift technician, plant fitter, plant technician, or covered vehicle technician.
- Hands-on experience with plant equipment, powered access, agricultural machinery, motor vehicles, or industrial cleaners (preferred, but not essential).
- Holding a full UK driving licence.
- Demonstrated ability to utilise latest IT systems for professional tasks (excel, CRM systems, etc.).
- Preferred but not essential: NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in engineering or related field.
