Are you passionate about engineering, problem-solving, and delivering exceptional customer service? Do you enjoy working independently while being part of a supportive and highly skilled team?
We are looking for a Field Service Engineer to join our UK Service team. In this role, you will support customers across the North England region, helping them maximise equipment availability, minimise downtime, and maintain safe, productive operations.
Your Mission
As a Field Service Engineer, you will play a critical role in supporting Epiroc customers by ensuring their equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably. Working directly at customer sites, you will diagnose and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues while delivering a professional and customer-focused service experience.
This is a highly varied field-based role where no two days are the same. In addition to maintenance and repair activities, you will support equipment commissioning, preventative maintenance programmes, and customer training, helping customers get the most from their machines while strengthening long-term relationships.
This role offers the opportunity to work with industry-leading surface drilling and mining equipment used across a variety of applications, including quarries, mines, and wind farm construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Servicing, maintaining, and repairing Epiroc equipment
- Diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults
- Supporting commissioning and equipment handovers
- Delivering preventative maintenance activities
- Completing service reports and technical documentation
- Maintaining the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance
Your Profile
You have experience working with heavy equipment, industrial machinery, commercial vehicles, or similar mechanical systems and enjoy solving technical challenges in demanding environments. While experience in mining, quarrying, or drilling equipment would be beneficial, we are also interested in candidates with transferable engineering skills from other industries.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
