Service Engineer – Edinburgh
About the Role
We're looking for a Service Engineer based in Edinburgh. The Service Engineer role holds responsibility for the technical support of our customers, including resolution of ongoing issues when required. Your core responsibilities include:
Ensuring a high-quality, reliable service to our customers and colleagues. This means timely resolution of reliability issues, reports on van stock requirements, and identification of training needs which are communicated to the Regional Team Leader.

Responsibilities
- Adhere to Franke UK Technical Standards and Processes
- Participate in an on-call weekend rota for Engineer Technical Assistance & reactive calls (1 per 6 weekends)
- Identify technical skill gaps and customer skill gaps
- Manage van stock levels and customer relations at a site level
- Stay current with all company administration and mandatory courses
- Escalate ongoing customer issues to Account Support when required
Additionally, you should be prepared to handle:
- Any ad hoc duties and responsibilities that arise within the scope of the role on a daily basis or in the long term
Requirements
- Proven understanding and experience in the remit of a Field Engineer role
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in the coffee machine or vending industry
- Competency in using phones and laptops
- Excellent communication skills
- Demonstrated personal integrity
- Ability to analyse and prioritise tasks effectively
- Sound judgement in informing teams vs. escalating issues
