Field Service Engineer (Packaging Machinery)

Derbyshire

GBP35,000 - GBP40,000 + Overtime (OTE GBP40,000 - GBP45,000) + Company Van + On-Call Allowance + Benefits

A well-established packaging machinery specialist is looking to add a Field Service Engineer to its growing engineering team. Covering a regional customer base, you'll be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and installing a range of packaging equipment across multiple industries.

This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with previous packaging machinery experience looking to join a business offering technical variety, training, and strong earning potential through overtime.

The Role

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance, servicing, and breakdown repairs on packaging machinery
  • Install, commission, and optimize equipment at customer sites
  • Fault find on mechanical, electrical, and automation systems
  • Provide customer training and technical support following installations
  • Work on pallet wrappers, strapping machines, carton sealing machines, and carton erecting machinery
  • Cover a regional territory with occasional overnight stays when required

The Candidate

  • Previous experience working on packaging machinery or similar automated equipment
  • Strong mechanical and/or electrical engineering background
  • Field service or maintenance engineering experience
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve machinery faults independently
  • Willingness to travel and stay away when required
  • Full UK driving license

Package

  • GBP35,000 basic salary
  • Realistic OTE of GBP40,000 - GBP45,000 through overtime
