Field Service Engineer (Packaging Machinery)
Derbyshire
GBP35,000 - GBP40,000 + Overtime (OTE GBP40,000 - GBP45,000) + Company Van + On-Call Allowance + Benefits
A well-established packaging machinery specialist is looking to add a Field Service Engineer to its growing engineering team. Covering a regional customer base, you'll be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and installing a range of packaging equipment across multiple industries.
This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with previous packaging machinery experience looking to join a business offering technical variety, training, and strong earning potential through overtime.
The Role
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance, servicing, and breakdown repairs on packaging machinery
- Install, commission, and optimize equipment at customer sites
- Fault find on mechanical, electrical, and automation systems
- Provide customer training and technical support following installations
- Work on pallet wrappers, strapping machines, carton sealing machines, and carton erecting machinery
- Cover a regional territory with occasional overnight stays when required

The Candidate
- Previous experience working on packaging machinery or similar automated equipment
- Strong mechanical and/or electrical engineering background
- Field service or maintenance engineering experience
- Ability to diagnose and resolve machinery faults independently
- Willingness to travel and stay away when required
- Full UK driving license
Package
- GBP35,000 basic salary
- Realistic OTE of GBP40,000 - GBP45,000 through overtime
