Role Overview

At Bizerba (UK) Ltd, we deliver innovative weighing, slicing, and labelling solutions to the retail sector with a focus on quality and customer satisfaction. We are seeking a talented Field Service Engineer to join our team in the East Midlands, enabling you to play a critical role in our long-term success while supporting our valued retail clients with expert technical assistance.

As a Field Service Engineer, you will be the technical face of Bizerba, providing on-site installation, maintenance, and repair services for our industrial weighing and labelling equipment. Your expertise in issue resolution will ensure minimal downtime for customers, reinforcing their confidence in our products.


Key Responsibilities

  • On-site technical support: Promptly and professionally install, maintain, and repair Bizerba’s industrial weighing and labelling systems in retail environments.
  • Fault diagnostics: Quickly and accurately diagnose technical faults to reduce equipment downtime.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal service teams and customer support to ensure seamless communication and customer satisfaction.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed service records, reports, and compliance documentation per company standards.
  • Customer training: Assist clients in product training and provide technical advice to optimise user experience.
  • Safety compliance: Uphold strict health and safety regulations and company policies during field operations.
  • Operational excellence: Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service quality and efficiency.

Requirements & Experience

Essential

  • Proven experience as a Field Service Engineer or in a similar technical role, ideally in retail or industrial weighing/labelling.
  • Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills, with in-depth knowledge of industrial equipment.
  • Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
  • Valid UK full driving licence with willingness to travel extensively within the East Midlands.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused, friendly approach.

Preferred (Advantageous)

  • Relevant qualifications: NVQ, HNC or equivalent in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Remote diagnostics expertise and basic IT skills.
