Field Service Engineer – Kent/Surrey (Remote & On-site)
Location: Remote (covering Kent/Surrey, TW/KT postcodes)
We’re seeking a Field Service Engineer to join Tunstall, a leading company in health and care technology. You’ll play a critical role in delivering high-quality maintenance, repair, and support to our clients’ products—ensuring vulnerable and elderly customers in their homes receive reliable service.

What You’ll Do
As a Field Service Engineer, your responsibilities include:
- Servicing, repairing, and maintaining emergency lights, fire systems, and electronic equipment in customers’ homes.
- Providing professional, compassionate support to a variety of clients, including the vulnerable and elderly.
- Troubleshooting faults and performing systems tests to ensure safety and reliability.
- Travelling to assigned sites within the Kent/Surrey area to complete on-site work.
- Demonstrating exceptional interpersonal and problem-solving skills in diverse environments.

The Ideal Candidate
To succeed in this role, you’ll need:
- Proven experience as a Field Service Engineer, particularly in electrical and electronic systems.
- NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification in Electrical/Electronics (desirable).
- Full UK Manual or Automatic Car Licence (Category B) to traverse Kent/Surrey safely.
- Experience with testing fire systems, though all applications are welcome.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to connect with customers sensitively.
- Analytical and problem-solving mindset to diagnose faults efficiently.
- Ability to work at heights or in confined spaces (e.g., dusty environments).
- Any field-service or home-visit experience is advantageous but not essential.
