Field Service Engineer

Job Title: Field Service Engineer

Location: Manchester, Stockport, Chester, Stoke on Trent

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000

Shift: Mon-Fri

Job Role of the Field Service Engineer

A well-established UK industrial manufacturer is looking to recruit a Field Service Engineer to support its growing customer base. This is an excellent opportunity to join a business with a strong industry reputation, modern equipment, and a genuine commitment to employee development.

In this role, you'll be responsible for:

  • Installing, servicing, and maintaining equipment at customer sites
  • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance
  • Diagnosing faults
  • Completing breakdown repairs

You'll deliver a high standard of technical support while representing the business professionally and building strong relationships with customers.

Non-Negotiable Requirements of the Field Service Engineer

  • Multi-skilled either mechanically or electrically biased
  • Hands-on experience with pre-planned, reactive, and breakdown maintenance

Requirements for the Field Service Engineer

  • Electrical and mechanical fault-finding experience
  • Engineering qualification (Electrical or Mechanical)
  • Full clean UK Driving License

Desirable Requirements for the Field Service Engineer

  • Previous experience working as a Maintenance Engineer in the UK
  • Experience with working on PLC's, ideally being able to fault find using inputs and outputs
  • Worked in field-based role before
  • Experience on CNCs, Hydraulics, Pneumatics, PLCs
