Location: Northamptonshire / Cambridgeshire
Base Location: Wellingborough
Salary: £35,000 - £42,000 (DOE)
Weekend Work: As required (paid overtime rates apply)
A specialist engineering company supporting meat processing equipment across the UK is looking to appoint a Field Service Engineer to join its growing service team. The business supplies and maintains machinery used in high-volume meat production environments, including equipment for grinding, forming, and portioning products such as burgers and sausages.
The Role
This is a field-based engineering position working directly on customer sites. You will carry out servicing, fault finding, part replacement, and preventative maintenance to ensure machinery runs efficiently with minimal downtime. The role involves working within operational meat processing facilities where PPE and strict hygiene procedures are mandatory. All required PPE will be provided.

Benefits
- £35,000 - £42,000 per annum, depending on experience
- Overtime and unsocial hours paid as follows:
- 6:00 pm - 10:00 pm: Time and a half
- 10:00 pm - 6:00 am: Double time
- Saturday: Time and a half
- Sunday: Double time
- Company vehicle provided for travel between the base and customer sites
- Specialist company tools provided
- Pension scheme
- Training provided
About You
- Strong mechanical or general machining background
- Experience working on industrial production machinery
- Must live within 4560 minutes of Wellingborough
- Confident with hands-on fault finding and repairs
- Comfortable working in raw meat production environments
- Able to work independently in the field
- Full UK driving license
