Field Service Engineer - 12 Month Fixed Term Contract

About the Role
Location: Ideal locations are Leicester, Stoke on Trent, Derby, Nottingham, Peterborough, and Stafford Contract: 12-month fixed term
As a Field Service Engineer, you will:
- Install, service, repair, and maintain Baxter/Hillrom products
- Build and maintain strong customer and partner relationships through effective communication
- Ensure all service activities are properly reported, with work orders closed by the end of the workday
- Maintain, calibrate, and document assigned calibration equipment
- Provide technical support for inbound customer and patient queries, logging issues and completing relevant actions
- Stay technically competent through ongoing training and development
- Serve as the technical expert and primary support contact for customers, account managers, and engineers, resolving critical product issues
- Provide technical feedback for contracts and tender submissions
- Monitor key performance metrics to optimise service levels and adapt working practices

Your Responsibilities
- Achieve efficient and exceptional results in a dynamic role requiring lone working, frequent travel within designated regions, and occasional international trips to the UK, Ireland, and Europe
- Oncall requirements: Participation in a 24-hour oncall system may be necessary
- Maintain full compliance with cybersecurity standards and general IT knowledge
What You’ll Bring
Essential
- Degree, HNC/HND, or equivalent qualification or relevant engineering experience (preferably in medical technology, electronics, or mechanical engineering)
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills (written and verbal)
- Competent organisational abilities, prioritisation skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel included)
- Technical problem-solving expertise
- Proven ability to meet critical deadlines in a dynamic environment
- Experience managing customer engagements at a high service level
Advantageous
- Experience managing network integration, wireless protocols, and mobile networks
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity standards
- Valid full UK/Ireland driving licence

Job Requirements
- Availability for 24-hour oncall responsibility when required
- Willingness for lone work
- Willingness to travel extensively across the UK/Ireland, potentially with some travel to Europe
- Must hold a full UK/Ireland driving licence
