Field Service Engineer – UK & Republic of Ireland
Job Description

As a Field Service Engineer, you will be the pivotal link between BEUMER and our customers – troubleshooting, maintaining, and optimising cutting-edge materials handling equipment at their sites.

We’re looking for technically skilled, customer-focused engineers who are ready to roll up their sleeves and represent a brand synonymous with reliability and excellence. Key Role Responsibilities
- Work independently or as part of a team to service and troubleshoot BEUMER equipment across the UK and Ireland.
- Customer-facing: Produce detailed reports on activity related to BEUMER sortation, material handling, and industrial products.
- Core responsibilities include:
- Conducting health checks and servicing across customer sites.
- Supporting installation projects and addressing warranty and breakdown issues.
- On-site operational and residency coverage when required.
- Delivering technical training to customers and other BEUMER engineers.
- Completing nationwide (and international) travel as necessary.
- Perform diverse electrical and mechanical tasks, spanning troubleshooting and maintenance in planned and reactive environments.
- Ensure all work meets RAMS (Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, and Safety) standards.
- Adhere to Health and Safety (H&S) protocols, both for yourself and colleagues, and cooperate with all stakeholders to maintain a secure working environment.

Requirements
Essential Qualifications
- Ideally possess an electrical engineering background, such as an ONC or equivalent qualification.
Essential Experience
- Prior experience in logistics, material handling equipment, automation as an:
- Automation Engineer
- Electrical Engineer
- Electrician (or similar)
- Site-level Health & Safety (H&S) experience (preferably in construction).
- Valid CSCS Card.
- Certified in First Aid.
- IOSH Working Safely qualification.
- IPAF 3a/3b (Mechanical Lift Passage) accessibility training.
Desirable
- Site Safety Supervisor Training Scheme (SSSTS) accreditation.
Additional Information
