As an X-Ray Field Service Engineer

As an X-Ray Field Service Engineer, you deliver technical support, maintenance, and repair services for Agfa Radiology’s state-of-the-art imaging products. You will be travelling to customer sites and you will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, maintenance and servicing of imaging equipment and associated ICT/electrical equipment, to ensure the proper functioning and optimal performance of our products. You act as a liaison between Agfa Radiology Solutions and our customers, ensuring customer satisfaction and timely resolution of technical issues.

Responsibilities

  • Work in cooperation with Agfa’s Shared Service Centre to carry out service, maintenance, updates and installation of products.
  • Maintain all test equipment, tools and company property in good and working order and process spare parts in accordance with policy.
  • Expand your knowledge and that of colleagues and customers, ensuring continuous development and improvement.
  • Build relationships and maintain team working with all internal and external partners.
  • Adhere to regulatory requirements and company’s policies and work procedures.
  • Identify and escalate situations impacting customer satisfaction and/or contractual obligations.
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team within the organisation to ensure achievement of goals.

Experience and Qualifications

  • You have an HNC/D degree in electromechanics, electronics, computer science or engineering; alternatively qualified by extensive experience.
  • Ideally you will have previous field service experience where you have undertaken similar type of work.
  • You will have strong IT, Microsoft Office and Networking Infrastructure skills.
  • You hold a full UK driving license.

Additional Information

Covering a territory in the North of England, there are several possible locations for your home office when not travelling to customer sites. Essential training will part of your development centres. Mentoring offered by an experienced and qualified peer and supported by your regional Customer Service Manager throughout the process.

Profile

You have a bachelor’s degree in electromechanics, electronics, computer science or equal, or you have at least a few years’ experience in a similar role.

  • You have excellent problem-solving skills.
  • You have experience in working in a medical environment.
  • You have a valid driving licence cat B.
  • Willingness to travel to customers on a daily basis.
  • You are a team player.
  • You have a strong self-motivation.
