Field Service Engineer - Poole, Dorset

We are currently seeking two (2x) dynamic and motivated Field Services Engineers to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will play an essential part in maintaining, troubleshooting, and supporting our state-of-the-art systems, ensuring customer satisfaction while adhering to service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs). If you are located in the SOUTH of England and have the skillset to match, we want you! Key Responsibilities: Diagnose system issues through electrical testing and Vix software monitoring tools Resolve hardware faults on vehicles and on-street equipment swiftly and efficiently Maintain effective communication with customers regarding maintenance and fault resolution Drive improvements in KPI performance Install and commission on-vehicle and on-street systems Ensure accurate documentation of maintenance activities Collaborate with local teams and Configuration Engineers Adhere to planned maintenance schedules Participate in periodic meetings with Vix staff Foster customer satisfaction and loyalty Comply with Health and Safety regulations

Requirements

Are you the right fit? Our ideal candidate will have: Essential Skills & Experience: Relevant qualification in electrical engineering or vehicle maintenance (e.g., NVQ Level 3) The ability to work autonomously while maintaining high standards Strong organizational and time management skills Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on professionalism Proven experience as a field engineer, with demonstrated skills in electrical and electronic diagnostics Experience working under pressure and meeting tight timelines Strong relationship-building capabilities with customers

Desirable Skills: Level 4 Diploma in Vehicle Diagnostics Experience with Real Time Information systems Familiarity with GPRS communications Proficient in IT systems with knowledge in basic networking Experience in a similar field environment Understanding of Quality Systems and procedures Sound electrical troubleshooting knowledge Knowledge of best engineering practices Accreditation in Emergency First Aid at Work and any HERS Found level NVQ Level 2
